CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY in Seattle!

                     Teach-In Schedule
"The Global Struggle for Women's Liberation!"
                             Saturday, March 9, 2002  9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
                             Seattle University, Campion Hall

The global struggle for women's liberation is integrally tied to the struggle for peace and justice in the world.  In light of the U.S. sponsored "War on Terrorism," the role of women in building a peace and justice movement has risen to the forefront.

To celebrate International Women's Day this year, a coalition of women's groups have come together to discuss these issues and particular issues that affect women in the U.S. and globally. This teach-in is inspired by the Platform for Action that developed out of the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing. Through the participation of thousands of grassroots women who contributed to this agenda and many more around the world who are implementing the Platform, it lives on and the struggle for human rights continues. The keynote speakers and workshops reflect this spirit! Let's come together and build a local agenda together.
